There are several amino alcohols which are used for the removal of CO2 and H2S from natural gas:
MEA MonoEthanolAmine
DEA DiEthanolAmine
MMEA MonoMethylEthanolAmine
DGA DiGlycolAmine
DIPA Di-isoPropanolAmine
AMP 2 Amino 2 Methyl 1 Propanolamine
In absorption of CO2 and H2S gases MEA and DEA perform best, however in regeneration MMEA and DGA perform better. Consequently a mixture of the amino alcohols is recommended.
